Who is really packing the courts?
To the editor:
The Court Of Appeals uses 11 and sometimes 15 federal judges in order to get a better perspective on complicated appeal cases.
First, let us get this out of the way: It is the Republicans who are packing the Supreme Court with six conservative justices and only three liberal justices.
The Democrats need to appoint two liberal justices in order to bring some sense of fairness to the Supreme Court, as is done by the Federal Court of Appeals.
Remember presidents are elected for relatively short terms; Supreme Court justices are appointed for life.
