The Williamstown Town Manager Search Screening Committee has announced the selection of two finalists for the position of town manager.

WILLIAMSTOWN — And the new interim town manager is: the current interim town manager.

During his interview for a Williamstown job, Thomas W. Bernard mentions that he does not have a good working relationship with state Rep. John Barrett III.

By resolving “issues” with its longtime police sergeant, Scott E. McGowan, Williamstown can focus on the steps it is taking to restore confidence in public safety, officials say. It is the town's first comment on McGowan since it became clear officials were moving to remove him from his job.
