A Roman Catholic priest from Massachusetts accused of sexually assaulting a child more than a decade ago has been indicted by a grand jury on forcible child rape and indecent assault and battery charges. Authorities said Tuesday that Monsignor Francis Strahan assaulted an altar boy on two occasions from 2004 until 2008 when the boy was between the ages of 11 and 13. Strahan was the pastor of St. Bridget Parish in Framingham at the time. Strahan’s attorney said his client denies the allegations. The Archdiocese of Boston cooperated with the investigation and has placed Strahan on leave.
