Effort does not always translate on the scoreboard in college basketball. Saturday afternoon in Williamstown, it did — and in a big way.

The 17th-ranked Williams College men's basketball team held Hamilton to 16 points in the second half in a 62-45 win that improved the Ephs' record to 10-0, in the NESCAC opener for both teams.
