A wide array of Berkshire County groups have rallied around a push for the state Legislature to pass housing protections before the federal eviction moratorium expires on Oct. 3.

President Joe Biden has announced a new eviction moratorium amid pressure from some lawmakers. U.S. Rep. Richard Neal did not join those public calls for action, but he said Thursday that he supports the move and wants protections expanded to Franklin and Hampshire Counties.
