Significant summer rain has provided the perfect nursery for an extra-large population of mosquitoes this year. It's a problem the Berkshire County Mosquito Control Project typically is well-equipped to meet. But, this year, a City Council vote removed the project's most productive technique: neighborhood pesticide sprays.
