The plot of “She Loves Me” might seem familiar and that's because it's based on Hungarian playwright Miklós László’s 1937 comedy, “Parfumerie,” which also is the source of two Hollywood rom-coms — the 1940 “The Shop Around the Corner” with James Stewart and Margaret Sullavan, and 1998’s “You’ve Got Mail” with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan.
“Pippin,” which is being presented at Mac-Haydn Theatre in a production that is generally robust and spirited enough to offset its shortcomings.
