SENTENCING: A judge Wednesday sentenced Luis Delvalle-Rodriguez to up to 30 years in prison for shooting Nick Carnevale at an outdoor party at October Mountain in August 2018.

DAY 6: "Why are they following us?" A witness Tuesday described the scene as up to 10 people descended on Nick Carnevale's truck, instigating an attack that a prosecutor said left the Cheshire native fighting for his life. 

DAY 5: On the fifth day of the trial of Luis Delvalle-Rodriguez and Christopher Frazier, two witnesses granted immunity testified before the jury.

DAY 3: Shortly after near-fatal 2018 encounter in October Mountain State Forest, Luis Delvalle-Rodriguez admitted to a fellow partygoer that he shot Nick Carnevale.

DAY 2: A former high-ranking state police officer testified Tuesday about the scene of the near-fatal shooting of Nick Carnevale.

DAY 1: OPENING STATEMENTS. Luis Delvalle-Rodriguez opened fire during a fight at a party at the Ashley Reservoir in August 2018 after Nick Carnevale started swinging a knife, striking two other men later charged in the shooting, Delvalle-Rodriguez's lawyer said during opening statements Monday. 

After a delay, opening statements in the trial of two men accused in the October Mountain shooting of Nick Carnevale are now set for Monday.

The alleged gunman in the October Mountain shooting of Nick Carnevale did not change his plea Friday, so his case is on track for trial, to begin at the start of next week.
