Pat Duquette's UMass Lowell River Hawks handle UMass in Amherst

Dalton native Pat Duquette guided his UMass Lowell River Hawks by UMass Thursday night in Amherst.

AMHERST — The noise could be heard in the hallway by the UMass Lowell locker rooms. After all, wins against Massachusetts in Amherst have been few and far between.

“We’ve been coming out here every year. Dozens of family and friends have followed me, not just for this game, but for my entire career,” UMass Lowell, and Dalton native, Pat Duquette said after the River Hawks stunned UMass 85-80 Thursday night.
