AMHERST — The Williams College men's basketball team had better have some short memories.

"That one stings," said Williams forward Declan Porter, after the third-ranked Ephs dropped a 53-51 decision to archrival Amherst Friday night, as the Ephs lost their first game of the season on the opening night of NESCAC conference play.
