The view from the cabin site, stretching from Greylock to the Taconics, improves when the leaves are down.

Walking in winter presents two obstacles to most people, cold and snow/ice. The first requires thoughtful selection of clothing, the other thoughtful selection of location. The winter 2022-23 has been easy in both regards, few days below 20 degrees F and, until the beginning of March anyway, little snow.
