Howard Herman: One week in, some thoughts about the second Don Brown era at UMass

Don Brown talks to players

UMass football coach Don Brown's team has wrapped up its first week of practice. Eagle sports columnist Howard Herman considers two of the big questions facing the team.

It seems fitting, to me anyway, that there are a lot of football questions on the University of Massachusetts campus.

After all, college and questions go hand-in-glove. I think I asked more questions in four years of college than I have in any four-year period since.

How good are the Minutemen going to be? Who’s going to be the quarterback? Will they win games? All questions that nobody can answer quite yet.
