AGAWAM — Pittsfield High had a halftime lead on the road, but the well dried up late as Agawam overtook the Generals and pulled away to a 66-49 win.

PHS got off to a hot start off the bus, scoring 16 first-quarter points, but diminishing returns saw the Generals out-scored by 18 points in the second half.

Senior captain Toby Gaulden-Wheeler had a team-high 16 points, and Nick Brindle canned three 3-pointers for 11. Carter Mungin chipped in 10 points.

Pittsfield dropped to 1-5 on the year.
