Chris Battiani has taken the long road from Massachusetts to Minnesota and Connecticut. The Pittsfield native, who attends South Kent School, has made a verbal commitment to play at Division I Merrimack.

It may be another couple of years before Chris Battiani steps foot on a college campus but he knows where he'll go.

Battiani, who plays at South Kent (Conn.) School, says he will be attending Merrimack when he eventually signs.

"Everything about the school," he responded, when asked why he committed to Merrimack.
