GREAT BARRINGTON — In the season finale at Wyantenuck Country Club on Tuesday, Mount Greylock managed to squeak out a three-stroke victory over host Monument Mountain.

The Mounties got four golfers to card under 45 on a wet and chilly afternoon, while Owen Petropulos shared medalist honors with a round of 42 to claim victory 175-178.

Petropulos knotted with Monument senior Andrew Churchill. The Spartans captain punched in a 6-over 42 in his final match at Wyantenuck. Monument put Benj Ryel and Bradley Danyluk at 45, but Greylock’s own veteran made the difference.

Alex Axt finished in 43 strokes, one off the medalists, but along with Ben Prescott, Cayden Conry and Ben Dingman shooting matching 45s, it was enough to hold off the hosts.
