Monument Mountain staves off South Hadley to clinch postseason trip on a big night in Great Barrington

Kronenberg and Carlson defense

Adam Kronenberg (No. 10) and Khalil Carlson (No. 32) combine to stonewall South Hadley's Colin Quinn and get Monument the ball back.

GREAT BARRINGTON — Monument Mountain had lost two straight, had had a week off to let that marinate and yet in the first quarter-and-a-half of action against visiting South Hadley, the Spartans looked like they did in the early part of the season in a 53-46 win.

Monument raced out to a devastating 11-2 lead just four minutes into the first quarter and a 23-10 lead at the 4:17 mark in the second quarter.
