Mount Greylock girls cross-country places third at MIAA State Championships; Lenox's Culver, Pittsfield's Harrington earn top-5 spots

Mount Greylock senior Ainsley Abel helped the Mounties to third place in the MIAA D-III State Championship.

DEVENS — Anything can happen in a massive cross-country meet, and Saturday at Fort Devens, anything did.

The Mount Greylock girls started their fall season with what looked like a full rebuild with a new coach and fresh-faced varsity roster. They ended it as the third-best team of their size in the state of Massachusetts.
