Taconic golf ekes out a one-stroke victory over Hoosac Valley, tourney hopes remain alive

ADAMS — While it was a day to celebrate for the Hoosac Valley golf team, it ended up being an important day at the office for visiting Taconic.

While Hoosac’s Frank Field earned medalist honors with a 4-over-par 38, the Thunder beat the Hurricanes 169-170 at Forest Park Country Club, keeping their Western Massachusetts Division II tournament hopes alive.
