Antonio Scalise makes 36 saves in Taconic hockey's win over Amherst

goalie save

Taconic's Antonio Scalise makes a save earlier this season. Scalise made 36 stops Wednesday night in a home win over Amherst.

PITTSFIELD — Some nights, goalies in hockey make all the difference in the world.

“We out-played them. We dominated them. We out-shot them 2-to-1. When you face a goaltender like Antonio Scalise, you have got to be spot on with your shots and everything you do,” Amherst coach Mike Rousseau said after the Thunder escaped with a 2-1 win Wednesday night on Mooney’s Pond at the Boys and Girls Club of the Berkshires.
