Hoosac Valley girls beaten by top-seed Millis in Division V Final Four game

SPRINGFIELD — The door was open in the fourth quarter of the Division V Final Four game. Try as they might, the Hoosac Valley girls could not break through.

The fourth-seeded Hurricanes held top-seeded Millis to one basket in the fourth quarter. But the Mohawks were 14 for 16 from the foul line in the quarter and were able to hold off the Hurricanes in a 57-47 contest Wednesday night at the Springfield High School of Science and Technology.
