Pittsfield beats city rival Taconic for the first time in 15 games

PITTSFIELD — It had been a long time coming.

A Pittsfield High team had last gotten the measure of its crosstown boys basketball rivals from Taconic 14 games ago. But on this Monday night, it was the Generals on the good side of a 67-52 win.

And it seemed fitting that the game was played at the Boys and Girls Club of The Berkshires, on a court where the vast majority of players from both teams grew up with the game.
