LENOX — Home runs, sacrifices, pickles. It’s any means necessary at this point of a hard-luck American Legion summer for Sheffield Post 340.

An already-short roster further depleted by injury still had enough in the tank Wednesday night to survive visiting Westfield in a key, 7-6, victory at War Memorial Field.
