PITTSFIELD — A family affair helped the Pittsfield Suns win their home opener Friday night. And Grandpa would be proud.

Jack Ryan’s two-run single to left in the bottom of the ninth scored the tying and the winning runs as the Suns won their fifth straight home opener, beating Norwich 5-4 at Wahconah Park.
