Derek Paris races out of the batter's box on a base hit on Tuesday night against Nashua.

PITTSFIELD — It was way harder than it should have been for Pittsfield to get its first win. The Suns weren’t electric on offense but the bats chipped away at Nashua’s defense. Pittsfield built a five-run lead heading into the top of the seventh. Just three outs left before a win, a break and then another seven innings to cap off the doubleheader with the Silver Knights.
