Hockey players do drills during practice

Taconic is hosting the ice hockey co-op with Wahconah and Pittsfield players this season. The players do drills as they practice at the Boys and Girls Club of the Berkshires on Wednesday.

Change is coming to the co-op hockey team that services three Central Berkshire high schools. After years of the Taconic-Pittsfield-Wahconah high school ice hockey co-op being hosted by Wahconah, it will become a Taconic High team for the upcoming 2022-23 season.

With the majority of the players having come from Pittsfield and specifically, Taconic, it made sense to move the team to the school on Valentine Road.
