Anthony Giardina and Pittsfield High couldn't overcome visiting Monson on Friday.

PITTSFIELD — After a scoreless first three minutes, Monson drew first blood with a nice catch-and-shoot goal to give the Mustangs a lead. Despite 48 minutes of fight from Pittsfield, the Generals didn’t have the horses to keep up, falling 14-3.

The game was close early on, with both sides pressing hard.
