The Greeting

Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019

Hello, Berkshires. Good news from the man cold front. I'm a little better today: less achy, less congested, less whiny.

Forecasters are calling for weekend snow, so be prepared with your bread, milk and butter if you can digest those things, or get some almond milk, rice cakes and vegan spread if that's more your speed. You can also check the weather here.

Ever hear that W.E.B. DuBois and William Faulkner got into a war of words over the debating of race?  See the display at the Mason Library and read our story.

In case you've been enjoying a long winter's nap and missed the news, adult retail sales of marijuana have begun in Pittsfield

We also have the results of a photography contest, which you can see and judge for yourself.

Hot on the heels of Patrick Muraca's fraud sentencing comes his appeal.

And we have municipal dust-ups galore, one in Egremont and the other in Sheffield.

Please do enjoy these other fine reads ...

NO WARM RECEPTION: A geothermal plan in Dalton has some doubters

MORE HILLTOWN POT: The little hilltown of Becket OKs a marijuana shop for business.

Very best,
