2 arrested after break-in on Linn Street


PITTSFIELD — Two juveniles were arrested Tuesday after police say they broke into a home on Linn Street.

Officers were dispatched to the home around 12:20 p.m. for a report of a breaking and entering in progress, according to a news release from the Pittsfield Police Department. Two juveniles, described as black males, wearing hooded sweatshirts, jeans and carrying backpacks, left the residence before officers arrived, witnesses told police.

Two juveniles matching descriptions given by witnesses were located in the area of the Saint Joseph Cemetery on Peck's Road a short time later. Pittsfield Police K-9 handlers and their partners recovered evidence from the break-in in the area where the two juveniles were taken into custody, according to the release.

Video surveillance was also collected by Crime Scene Services.
