4 dead in Lynn house fire

LYNN, MASS. >> Authorities say four people have died in a house fire in Lynn.

A spokeswoman for the state Fire Marshal's office confirmed that the victims were found early Friday morning in a second-floor unit of the multi-family building.

No information about the victims was available, except for the fact that they did not appear to be children.

The fire was first spotted by a police officer when the building was already fully engulfed.

It is thought 18 to 20 people lived in the building. According to broadcast reports, at least two other people were taken to the hospital.

The cause is under investigation.
