Get your fill of garlic next weekend

Join garlic-lovers from throughout the country as they come to enjoy the quintessential Vermont garlic festival, now on it's 24th year. Southern Vermont Garlic Fest 2019 will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Camelot Village, 66 Colgate Heights, Bennington, Vt., (junction of Vermont Routes 7 and 9). There will be 200 garlic-related vendors, eight live bands, kids' activities all day, 30-plus food vendors and a beer and wine garden. Parking is free. Enjoy a night of fun at The Chalet

Get you dollar bills ready! Still riding the high of Drag Night 2018, The Chalet is bringing the connoisseurs of throwing shade and spilling tea Thursday evening. The Chalet, Mass MoCA's summer fun spot, promises grill favorites and frothy beverages with live entertainment. The Chalet opens for food and drinks at 5:30 p.m., with entertainment at 8 p.m. Mass MoCA is at 1040 Mass MoCA Way, North Adams.

A free afternoon of music, dance and fun

Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy outdoor performances as the American Modern Opera Company returns to the Clark Art Institute today for another performance staged on locations around the Clark's grounds. It's a free afternoon of music, dance, poetry and inspiration.The afternoon concludes with a special concert in the Clark's auditorium. In case of inclement weather, all performances will be moved indoors. Noon — Thomas Schutte "Crystal," Stone Hill (60 minutes); Baroque, folk and improvised music. 1:20 p.m. - Fernandez Terrace, Clark Center (60 minutes); Explorations of the Clark archi-landscape with AMOC artists. 3 p.m. — auditorium (60 minutes); chamber concert featuring musicians from AMOC. The Clark is at 225 South St., Williamstown.

Enjoy an evening out at the farm with your friends and family. Whitney's Farm Market & Garden Center will hold a Plant and Sip — Fall Patio Pot Planter from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. The event includes all planting material to create your own unique fall patio pot planter. There will be samples of wines, as well as light refreshments made by Whitney's bakery and deli. Ticket prices: $50 per person with wine sampling or $35 per person (no wine samples) All tickets must be purchased in advance of the event and are available at the store or by calling 413-442-4749.
