Run a race, then chug a beer!



Do a little running, maybe a little chugging, and then enjoy an evening concert. The 5th annual Berkshire Craft Beer Fest and Chug Run will be held Saturday, June 8 at The Common Park, 100 First St., Pittsfield. The 5K Chug Run starts at 12:15 p.m. and ends in the Common, after a scenic run around Silver Lake. All racers over 21 get a craft beer after the race; soft drinks for all racers. VIP entry to the beer fest is at noon; general admission at 1 p.m. VIP tickets are limited and are $60 per person. General admission tickets start at $30. For tickets, visit berkshirebeerfest.com. The Craft Concert for a Cause doors open at 6:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 55 Fenn St. The Berkshire Craft Beer Festival, the Chug Run 5K and the Craft Concert for a Cause are all with ServiceNet in its efforts to replace its dilapidated Barton's Crossing shelter with a safe and modern facility in downtown Pittsfield.



Calling all rhubarb lovers ...



All rhubarb, all day at the 6th Annual Lenox Rhubarb Festival, which will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 8, in Lenox. Start with the rhubarb pancake breakfast at 8 a.m., then visit vendors selling rhubarb pies, preserves, soda, ice cream, cake, crepes, rhubarb plants, fresh rhubarb and rhubarb cookbooks. Be a judge at the savory rhubarb contest, 11 a.m. until the food is gone; buy a spoon for $5 and receive a sample from each local chef and vote for your favorite.



Buy some fresh, local produce



The North Adams Farmers Market moves outside for the summer at 10 St. Anthony Drive, North Adams on Saturday, June 8. Stock up on fresh, local produce, meat, cheese, eggs, syrup, honey, baked goods, prepared foods, artisan crafts, live music, community and more from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday through October. A list of vendors will be posted to the North Adams Farmers Market's page the Friday before each market. EBT, debit and credit cards accepted. Through the support of local community businesses and organizations, Market Match (SNAP token doubling) is back! There will be a $30 doubling maximum per person, per market for Market Match this season.


Bring the family to the Dalton Carnival



Come join the fun at this year's Dalton Carnival. There will be food, rides and fireworks will take place Friday and Saturday nights at dusk. Advanced sales tickets, $7 per sheet of 10 tickets; at the carnival, $10 per sheet of 10 tickets. Special wristband days: Saturday and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m. Wristbands: $25 per person; ride as many rides as you like. Carnival hours are Wednesday, June 5 , Thursday, June 6, 6 to 10 p.m.; Friday, June 7, 6 to 11 p.m.; Saturday, June 8, noon to 11 p.m.; Sunday, June 9, noon to 5 p.m. Dalton American Legion, 258 North St., Dalton.
