An afternoon of tricks, laughs and basketball

The World Famous Harlem Wizards invite area families to join them for an afternoon of tricks, hoops and alley-oops at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 14 at Wahconah Regional High School, 150 Windsor Road, Dalton. Doors open at 1 p.m. If available, tickets will be sold at the door for $15 for students and adults. The event is a fundraiser for the Kittredge Elementary School PTO.

Your chance to see a jazz legend perform

Don't miss your chance to see 22-time Grammy-winning pianist Chick Corea perform as part of his newest trio, featuring bassist John Patitucci and drummer Brian Blade. The concert is at 7 p.m. Sunday, April 14 at the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center in Great Barrington. Keyboardist, composer, and bandleader Chick Corea is a DownBeat Hall of Famer and NEA Jazz Master, as well as the fourth-most nominated artist in Grammy Awards history with 63 nominations. Help welcome back a dance-making project

Join Moving Arts Exchange in welcoming back Dance For Rain, a dance-making project that works with arts-for-social-change organizations in Nairobi, Kenya. The event, Karibu Tena (which means Welcome Back!), begins at noon Sunday, April 14 and will feature photography from Kenya by Monika Pizzichemi, a community tap dance workshop with Stefanie Weber and JoJo McDonald, stay and learn the "kalapapla," a traditional dance of Kenya with live drumming led by Lara Gonzalez. Stay for the premiere of the interactive theatrical fundraising event, The Mad Libs Maasai Market Exploit. Moving Arts Exchange is at 325 Stockbridge Road, Great Barrington. There is a suggested $10 donation at the door, children younger than 12 are free.
