Bring a picnic and enjoy the evening

Naumkeag at Night is back for its 2019 season. Come with a picnic and your family and friends from 5 to 8 p.m. every Thursday in the gardens at Naumkeag. There will be a live band — and the sunset. Cash bar and food available on site. Naumkeag is at 5 Prospect Hill Road, Stockbridge.

Free fun at your favorite cultural institutions

Highland Street Foundation's annual summer program Free Fun Fridays will offer free admission on Friday, June 28, to The Clark Art Institute, The Norman Rockwell Museum and Edith Wharton's Lenox home The Mount. No registration or tickets required — just visit and enjoy! Each location will have its regular exhibits with some special programming. Visit highlandstreet.org for more information.

Where can dance happen?

It's time to step up and show off your dance moves. An exhibit at Methuselah Bar and Lounge, "Jacob's Pillow: Taking Dance Off The Mountain," asks the question, "Where can dance happen?" View a selection of original images by Festival Photographer Christopher Duggan, taken for a new art series that intersects dance, photography and the Berkshire landscape. Visitors are encouraged to take photos dancing in the exhibit and post on social media using the hashtags #jacobspillow and #pillowcommunity for a chance to win Festival tickets. Methuselah Bar and Lounge is at 391 North St., Pittsfield. The free exhibit may be viewed from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. Monday through Saturday.

Get outdoors next weekend!

American Whitewater and Zoar Outdoor are joining forces to celebrate the Deerfield River by combining two annual events — American Whitewater's Deerfield Fest and Zoar Outdoor's DemoFest — for a weekend of outdoor activities showcasing whitewater paddlesports. Deerfield Fest activities take place on beginning at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 29, and provide entertainment for both paddlesport and non-paddlesport enthusiasts, young and old. The festival will include a whitewater marketplace, live entertainment, raft guide competition, beer and a silent auction with outdoor gear. For more information and a complete schedule, visit zoaroutdoor.com/demofest.htm.
