3rd Thursday returns
Spring is here and that means 3rd Thursdays are back. The 2019 season of 3rd Thursday will kick off with a celebration of the county's youth. The event will feature the best in music, dance, stage and street performances by local young talent. Third Thursday will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. in downtown Pittsfield on Thursday. Cheer on your favorite first responders
The inaugural Arrest and Extinguish ALS event will be held 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Tanglewood in Lenox. First responders from and around Massachusetts will form teams, fundraise and compete in a tug-of-war competition. A prize will be awarded to the team that receives the most donations. The team that wins the tug-of-war competition will go on to compete at the Firefighter Combat Challenge in June. Community members are encouraged to donate to their favorite team and cheer them on at the tug-of-war event at Tanglewood. Learn more at fundraise.als.net/arrestandextinguishevent. Grab your wallet and look for bargains
The Berkshires' premier annual pop-up clothing sale and fundraiser BerkChique! returns for its eighth consecutive year Friday through Sunday at the West Stockbridge Historical Society at 9 Main St. The annual event features new and gently-used clothing and accessories in a variety of sizes, including casual and formal tops, dresses, sweaters, blazers, coats, slacks and jeans collected from some of the most fashionable closets in the Berkshires — all at amazing prices. The sale kicks-off Friday with a First Dibs Shopping Party. Those holding $100 VIP tickets get "first dibs" at the racks from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. From 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., $25 ticket holders can join in the fun. Enjoy an evening of jazz
Come to the Clark for an evening of toe-tapping jazz when jazz trumpeter Jonathan Dely performs a program of jazz, pop and selections from the American Songbook with his swinging band at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Clark Art Institute. Dely, 25, an award-winning trumpet soloist from Long Island, N.Y., was a finalist in the International Trumpet Guild Jazz Competition, National Trumpet Competition, and Yamaha Performing Artist Competition.Tickets, $20 to $28, at clarkart.edu.
