Shop at the Handmade Holiday Festival

Bring the whole family to the Handmade Holiday Festival, hosted by Alchemy Initiative. Showcasing locally and regionally handmade goods, shoppers have the chance to meet and support the makers of their gifts. Live music, children's art making and delicious prepared food will keep you feeling festive and fueled to shop. The festival will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at The Stationery Factory in Dalton. Admission is free. Buy some affordable art and support local artists

Join MCLA's Gallery 51 for the annual "99 Cent Affordable Art Show" from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday. The show celebrates the artwork of local and regional artists and may include ceramics, jewelry, paintings, prints, book arts, photography, fibers and more. All work will be priced between 99 cents and $99.99 and will be available to take home on the day of purchase. This is a perfect opportunity to get some of your holiday shopping done for the art-lover in your life. Refreshments will be served. The gallery is at 51 Main St., North Adams


'Shut The Folk Up'

Take a moment to unwind after the holiday kick off with dinner and music. Common Folk will present "Shut The Folk Up: Jake Klar & Izzy Helati" from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1. The STFolkU Listening Room Series will be held every First Friday of the month.

A potluck meal will be held at 5 p.m., followed by the music at 7 p.m. Limited seats available. For tickets and the address to the show, email boxoffice.commonfolk@gmail.com. The event is BYOB (beer and wine only); must have valid I.D. Admission is $5 at 5 p.m. if you bring a dish for the potluck; $7 at 7 p.m.; no entry after 7:30


A holiday celebration in Lenox
