Wednesday, June 12, 2019

Happy hump day, Berkshire County.  Enjoy the sunshine while it lasts today, because rain and cooler air are expected to put a damper on any outdoor plans tomorrow.

Downtown Pittsfield is a little brighter now, thanks to a decorative lighting project funded by Berkshire Lightscapes.

The Pittsfield City Council approved a $166.6 million budget request for the coming fiscal year on Tuesday night.

Friends and family of a former Sheffield resident who died in an Ethiopian Airlines jet crash in March are raising money to fund a fellowship that would improve health care in poor countries.

In North Adams, a water main that burst on Monday has been repaired, but crews are still working to repair the damage it caused on Main Street.

State Sen. Adam Hinds,  D-Pittsfield, was recently honored by the Berkshire Community Action Council with its Community Hero Award.
