Adams: BART students, faculty to climb Greylock

The entire BART Charter Public School community will hike up the Cheshire Harbor Trail to the summit of Mount Greylock on Monday, Sept. 23.

BART’s third annual "Mountain Day" provides students and teachers with an opportunity to set and achieve a challenging goal together.

Students will ascend in mixed-grade groups called "Tribes" which are led by a staff or faculty member. Students who are physically unable to climb will be transported to the top to meet their peers.

Breakfast, snack, water and lunch will be provided by the school. A cookout, catered by Bounti-Fare Restaurant, will take place at the summit. Once everyone has gathered and eaten, buses will transport the students back to BART to reconvene for dismissal.
