Adams: Library hosting mystery writer Archer Mayor


Archer Mayor, author of the New York Times bestselling, Vermont-based mystery series featuring detective Joe Gunther, will be reading from and autographing his new novel, "Bury the Lead," at 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 21, at the Adams Free Library, 92 Park St.

Mayor has written 29 bestselling Joe Gunther novels rooted in his actual field experience. Over the past 30 years, he has worked, or continues to work, as a firefighter/EMT, a police officer, and a death investigator for Vermont's Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

In 2016, Mayor received the Robert B. Parker Award, named after "the dean of mystery writers."
