Adams: Suicide prevention awareness festival

Carpe Diem: Commemorating Life through Music and Art, an outdoor music and arts festival for suicide prevention, will take place from from 1 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at the Adams Agricultural Fairgrounds, 371 Old Columbia St.

The festival features art vendors, interactive art activities, food from Valhalla Eatery, a sensory tent, and a dozen local live bands such as Quincy, Nick Stanley, Hill Haints, Pavlov's Dogs, Immune Friction, and more.

Tickets may be purchased by donation on the day of the event. Proceeds benefit Arts in Recovery for Youth, an arts and skills-based peer support program for youth age 13 and up who struggle with suicidal thoughts and behaviors.
