Adams: Voter registration for special election

The deadline to register to vote in the special state primary election is 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20. The town clerk's office at Town Hall will remain open until 8 p.m. on that day.

Citizens may register to vote at any time between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday at the town clerk's office and at many other public agencies including the Registry of Motor Vehicles.

Those registering at the RMV should bring their receipt to the polls because Registry data is often not transmitted to Town Hall.

Balloting will take place from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, at the Department of Public Works garage, 92 North Summer St.
