Applications being accepted for Berkshares Inc.'s Entry to Entrepreneurship youth business program

GREAT BARRINGTON — BerkShares Inc. will be accepting applications for its Entry to Entrepreneurship youth business planning program through Sunday, Dec. 31.

The program is open to those between the ages of 16 and 30 who are interested in learning more about business.Entry to Entrepreneurship guides students through the process of writing a business plan while maintaining a special focus on the local economy.

The program is offered by BerkShares, Inc. in partnership with the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center Network's Berkshire Regional Office and in collaboration with Berkshire Community College, whose South County Center hosts the weekly class sessions. Classes run from 5 to 7 p.m. for 10 weeks on Wednesdays beginning Jan. 24.

Applications require a deposit of $50 or 50 BerkShares. Apply at www.berkshares.org.
