Auction to benefit COVID-19 emergency response fund

GREAT BARRINGTON — A initiative called Bon Appetit Berkshires has been formed to provide support to restaurants in and around the southern Berkshires, and to those who have been working to keep the community phyically, emotionally and financially safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. Community members can buy gift certificates from participating restaurants and donate them to Bon Appetit Berkshires for an online auction that will take place from May 25-June 2 on the Bidding for Good Platform, an online auction services fo nonprofit causes

All proceeds from the auction will go to the COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund, co- led by Berkshire United Way and Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation. Gift certificate purchases will benefit human services organizations.

The gift certificates are currently available through May 24 at the participating restaurants that include Baba Louie's, Bizen Sushi, Cantina 229, John Andrews Farmhouse Restaurant, The Marketplace, The Old Inn on the Green, Pleasant and Main, The Prairie Whale, and The Woodland.
