BCC hires dean of students, interim dean of enrollment

PITTSFIELD — Celia Norcross has accepted the position of dean of students at Berkshire Community College while Michael Sharp has been named interim dean of enrollment. Christina Wynn, the college's former dean of enrollment management, has taken the position of dean of business and outreach.

Norcross has worked in higher education for the past 22 years in a variety of positions that support and develop student learning, including her most recent career track at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, where she spent the past 18 years in student affairs. She holds a bachelor's degree in business from Western New England University and a master's degree in higher education with a concentration on student personnel/counseling. She has also served on several governance boards and committees.

A resident of Clearwater, Minn., Sharp most recently worked for St. Cloud State University in that state as an adjunct faculty member in human relations and multicultural education and served as the director of advising and student transition for 15 years. He holds a master's degree in community organizing from St. Cloud and a bachelor of science degree in psychology from Iowa State University. He has spent the late three years doing research and teaching courses on race and human relations.
