Berkshire bars, restaurants ready parties, giveaways

Like chips and salsa, hot wings and blue cheese, pigs and blankets, the Super Bowl and parties just go together.

So if you're not going to a friend's house or one of the lucky dogs headed to Lucas Oil Stadium this Sunday, pretty much every bar and restaurant in Berkshire County will have the big football battle on.

But if, like me, you're less into football and more into the social aspect of the game, then here's a list of local venues that are hosting Super Bowl-themed parties, where you can win prizes, freebies, and of course, food and drink specials.

The PNA on Victory Street will host a Super Bowl Party for all, starting at 4:30 p.m. A $15 dinner is being offered to the first 30 people who buy seats, who will also get a T-shirt.

Mill Town Tavern on Depot Street is offering a super party with prizes, giveaways, specials and a free half-time buffet.

With its 144-inch mega HD screen and surround sound, every seat in The Brick House Pub on Park Street will be a great one for the game. Its event also includes munchies, giveaways and discounts for folks who dress in Patriots or Giants gear.

Sullivan Station just installed two new TVs for its first Super Bowl Party, and will also offer a festive atmosphere.

Halpin's Grub and Grog will have plenty of specials at its Super Bowl/Patriots Party with Bob Heck Entertainment.

North Adams

The Key West on State Street will tally your game predictions on whether and how the Pats or Giants earn their victory. Its tailgate-themed party includes "tons of food and giveaways."
