Berkshire Dream Center: No requirements, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesdays, and 12:30 p.m. second Sunday of the month, at Morningside Baptist Church, 475 Tyler St., Pittsfield, 413-522-3495. If schools are closed due to weather, distribution will be held the following week.

Berkshire Dream Center Mobile Food Pantry: No requirements; 6 p.m., first Tuesday of the month, Central Annex, Second Street; 6:30 p.m., first Tuesday, Providence Court, East Street; 4 p.m., third Tuesday, Berkshire Peak, formerly Riverview Apartments; 5 p.m., third Tuesday, Dower Square; 4:30 p.m., fourth Tuesday, Wilson Park, park on Memorial Drive; 5:15 p.m., fourth Tuesday, Morningside School, Burbank Street; 413-522-3495. The Salvation Army: Rent/lease receipt, proof of income, utility bill, assistance available every week, 9:30-11:30 a.m. and 1 to 2:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, 298 West St., Pittsfield, 413-442-0624.

Soldier On Food Pantry: Open to the public, need verification of address, 8 to 11 a.m. Saturdays, 360 West Housatonic St., Pittsfield, 413-236-5644.

South Congregational Church: Short application to fill out, assistance available once a week, 7:30-11 a.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays, 5:30 to 6 p.m. Wednesdays, 110 South St., Pittsfield, 413-442-7357.

Becket Federated Church: For Becket, Washington and surrounding hilltowns, 9 to 11 a.m., first and third Saturdays, 3381 Main St, Becket. Emergencies: 413-623-5217.

Dalton United Methodist Church: Open to Berkshire County residents, 12:30 to 1 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays, 755 Main St., Dalton, 413-684-0521.

Food Bank of Western Mass. Mobile Food Bank: No proof of eligibility required, bring bags, rain or shine, 11 a.m. to noon fourth Wednesdays, CRA, 400 Main St., Dalton, 413-247-9738, ext. 121.

Hinsdale Food Pantry: Temporarily closed, looking for new location, 413-655-8587. Open to residents of the five Hilltowns only, address verification required.

St. Agnes Church: For Dalton and Hilltown residents only, 5:45-6:15 p.m. Thursdays, 489 Main St., Dalton, 413-684-0125.


American Legion/VFW Food Pantry: Open to the public, 9:30 to 11 a.m. Fridays, located in old schoolhouse in Berkshire Village, 144 Old State Road, Lanesborough, 413-442-1025.

Cheshire Pantry: Open to Cheshire residents with proof of residency, 11 a.m. to noon first Saturday of each month, Community Center, 191 School St., Cheshire, 413-743-9719. Emergency food available. Food Bank of Western Mass. Berkshire South Regional Community Center: No requirements, monetary donations and nonperishable food donations accepted. Dinner from 5 to 6 p.m. Mondays, 15 Crissey Road, Great Barrington, 413-528-2810, ext. 32.

Breaking Bread Community Supper: Free dinner for all, 5:30 p.m. Thursdays, American Legion, 334 Main St., Sheffield, 413-229-8614.

Brown Bag Program: Supplemental monthly food program offering 10 to 15 pounds of food to eligible individuals, 55 years or older, free. For income eligibility requirements and further information, call your Council on Aging.

Elder Nutrition Program: Noontime meals for those 60 years of age and older at several senior centers throughout the county. Some sites offer transportation through the Council on Aging. Suggested donation of $2 per meal is requested. Individuals younger than 60 are welcome for a required fee of $7 per meal. Meals on Wheels Program: Nutritious, hot noontime meals are offered Monday through Friday to homebound Berkshire seniors 60 or older. A suggested donation of $2 is requested. Eligibility requirements. Call Elder Services of Berkshire County at 413-499-0524 to make a referral for yourself, family member or friend.

Take and Eat Program: A program for individuals 60 and older who are homebound, unable to prepare meals, shop or get out. Meals are delivered Sundays and are provided for weekends and three-day holiday weekends. Information: Kathleen Ryan at 413-672-1404 or 413-664-1041.
