Berkshire County: Mass Audubon announces birding programs

Mass Audubon announces several in-person and virtual birding programs taking place in September. Registration is required for all programs.

"Virtual Birding at The Mount" takes place from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, via Zoom from The Mount, Edith Warton's home in Lenox. Preregistration is required at edithwharton.org/visit/calendar/.

"Birding at Pleasant Valley" takes place from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Wednesdays, Sept. 16 and 23, at Pleasant Valley Wildlife Sanctuary, Lenox.

"Birding at Canoe Meadows" is offered from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Fridays, Sept. 18 and 25, at Canoe Meadows Wildlife Sanctuary, Holmes Road, Pittsfield.

All programs are free and open to beginners. Bring your own binoculars.

For more information on each program and to register, visit massaudubon.org/pleasantvalley. Walk-ins will not be admitted.

All participants must follow and maintain six feet of distance and wear a face covering unless unable to do so due to medical conditions.
