Updated: Area snow closures roll in from across the county

PITTSFIELD — Some area venues, events and meetings are canceled because of the expected snowfall.

The Berkshire Museum will close early at 2 p.m. Tuesday, because of expected heavy snowfall.

All programs will be canceled. Weather permitting, the museum plans to reopen Wednesday at 10 a.m

In Adams, the public meeting for the Russell Field Renovation Project in Adams has been rescheduled to Feb. 25 at 6 p.m.

The 2019 W.E.B. Du Bois Lecture with Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor, originally scheduled for Tuesday at 7 p.m., has been postponed until further notice. It will be rescheduled.

The Boys & Girls Club of the Berkshires is closing at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. All activities after 4:30 are canceled.

Tuesday’s screening of “Moby Dick, The Mini Series, Part I,” at the Berkshire Athenaeum is canceled. The screening of the film’s Part II on Thursday, Feb. 14 is also canceled. Both programs will be rescheduled at later dates.

The Norman Rockwell Museum will be closing early at noon Tuesday.

Inmate visitations at the Berkshire County Jail and House of Correction are canceled Tuesday because of inclement weather.

Pittsfield's City Council meetingTuesday has been canceled. The meeting’s agenda items will be covered at the next meeting scheduled for Feb. 26 at City Hall.

The Lenox Town Library and the Lenox Town Hall will be closing at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
