Building inspector to address landlord association

Brian Duval, the building inspector for the city of Pittsfield, will speak when the Rental Housing Association of Berkshire County holds its monthly meeting Tuesday at Zucchini's Restaurant, 1331 North St. Networking begins at 6:30 p.m., with the meeting to follow at 7. An optional dinner for $25 will be served at 6:30.

Duval will speak on landlord obligations for rental properties, including physical maintenance, needed registration and permitting requirements. Time will be provided for questions.

Engineers group holding dinner meeting

The Berkshire Section of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Berkshire Consultants Network will hold a dinner meeting, in recognition of National Engineers Week, on Feb. 20 at Cork 'N Hearth Restaurant on Route 20. Cocktails will be served at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7. The registration deadline is Monday.

David M. Meyer will present "Experiencing Hubble: The Greatest Images of the Universe." The video presentation will take place after dinner.

VanSant to facilitate nonprofit workshop

With support from the Beveridge Family Foundation, the Women's Fund of Western Massachusetts is collaborating with Gwendolyn Hampton VanSant of Multicultural BRIDGE to hold the first of its "Amplify!" series of capacity-building workshops for women and girls Tuesday, on the third floor of the Community Room at 1350 Main St. in Springfield. The workshop begins at 3 p.m. and will focus on diversity, equity and inclusion.

The Amplify! workshops are being held to give women and girls and the organizations that serve them the tools they need to make change. The event is open to Western Massachusetts nonprofit professionals whose organizations serve women and girls. Tickets/information:


Town schedules tax-possession auction

The town of Stockbridge will hold a tax-possession auction Feb. 26 to sell property at 6 Castle Hill Road. The 1.7-acre lot in the town's Glendale area includes a dwelling. The auction will be conducted at 11 a.m. at the town offices, 50 Main St. Information:, 617-350-7700.
