Chester: Chester Elementary students receive free meals

All students enrolled at Chester Elementary School are entitled to free breakfast and lunch for the next four years.

The Community Eligibility Provision is a meal service option for schools who have a high percentage of children eligible for free school meals. This option is a key provision of The Healthy Hunger Free Kids Act of December 2010.

Chester Elementary families do not need to submit the free/reduced meals application in order to receive the free meals.

Students who still wish to bring their meal from home and purchase milk only will pay 50 cents for their milk.

Parents with students attending Littleville Elementary, Gateway Regional Middle School and Gateway Regional High School in Huntington must pay for meals and apply for free/reduced meals through the application sent home on the first day of school. The application is also available online via the Food Services quicklink at
