Free drawing sessions for artists of all skill levels.
The hour-long open-practice sessions will be held in the Manton Study Center for Works on Paper at the Clark. Each month explores a different theme through a related selection of prints, drawings, and photographs from the Clark’s collection:
Oct. 11 – Trees
Nov. 8 – Nocturnes
Dec. 13 – Ornamental Design
Jan. 10 – Architecture
Feb. 14 – Double Portraits
March 13 – Costume
Participants may practice fundamentals and explore new ideas or take part in the artistic tradition of copying earlier works. Basic materials are provided. Artists bringing their own supplies should note that only graphite pencils are allowed in the Study Center and museum galleries.
All sessions are from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Space is limited to 15 participants; reservations are required. Visit clarkart.edu or call 413-458-0524 to register.
